Job Description:

Alinea is building the investing platform for the next generation. We’re looking for a Product Engineer (iOS) to own and scale the core mobile experience at Alinea. This is not a “just iOS” role. You’ll operate across the stack and work directly with the founders to design, build, and ship the product end-to-end—from onboarding to investing to long-term engagement. You’ll play a key role in launching new financial products (including retirement accounts) and defining how a new generation interacts with their money.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own the iOS app end-to-end: architecture, performance, and user experience
  • Build and ship fast high-quality features used by hundreds of thousands of users
  • Work directly with founders, product, and design to turn ideas into shipped product in days, not weeks
  • Build across the stack using Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, and MongoDB
  • Launch new financial products (e.g. retirement accounts) from 0 → 1
  • Design systems for onboarding, engagement, and personalization
  • Continuously improve speed, reliability, and product quality
  • Set the standard for engineering velocity and craftsmanship

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience building and shipping consumer mobile apps
  • Strong experience with Swift / SwiftUI
  • Comfortable working across the stack (APIs, backend, infra)
  • Proven ability to ship quickly and iterate based on real user feedback
  • Strong product instincts—you care deeply about the user experience
  • High ownership mindset—you don’t wait for specs, you drive outcomes

Nice to have:

  • You’ve worked on a high-growth consumer app (fintech, marketplace, or social)
  • You’ve built or scaled 0→1 products
  • You’ve operated in a fast-moving, low-structure environment
  • You care about craft, but you care more about impact
What we offer:
  • Small, high-talent team
  • High ownership, low bureaucracy
  • Real opportunity to shape the product, not just contribute to it
