At our Berlin site, our employees manufacture key components for ASML lithography systems. As part of our precision manufacturing team, you support the production of optical components, assemblies, and systems made of glass, glass-ceramics, and ceramics for our high-tech small-batch, single-part, and prototype production. In a highly qualified engineering environment, you take technical responsibility for products and process chains in high-volume manufacturing. You closely collaborate with interfaces such as Production, R&D, and other international sites, and actively contribute to optimizations and NPI projects.
Job Responsibility
Developing solutions for product issues and implementing them in line with specifications and operational KPIs to ensure stable product performance in volume production
Understanding and analyzing a process chain section or an entire process chain, including all core processes and functional (sub-)product requirements, and developing and successfully implementing corresponding manufacturing concepts
Conducting risk analyses for issues and changes, including escalation management where necessary
Ensuring delivery performance using production data and developing rework strategies and corrective actions together with all relevant stakeholders to maintain optimal performance
Evaluating deviations and damages to components and deriving/deciding appropriate corrective measures
Contributing to NPI projects with focus on product history, including comprehensive risk analysis, feasibility, manufacturability, design, and industrialization
Providing functional leadership for small teams (e.g., focus teams, core teams) and mentoring less experienced Product Engineers
Requirements
Degree in engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable qualification, with relevant knowledge of methodologies such as Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, or Continuous Improvement
Several years of professional experience in a comparable role within a technical manufacturing environment
In-depth knowledge of process chain sections or full process chains and their key interdependencies
Strong understanding of core processes, including tolerances and required technologies within process chain sections
Solid experience in the product development lifecycle
ideally participation in multiple NPI projects
Extensive experience in data analysis
knowledge in data engineering is a plus
Fluent in German and English to collaborate effectively with local and international teams
