Job Description

The purpose of Product Development role is to manage the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production for assigned models that lead to on-time delivery and development according to critical dates, product specification performance and profitability goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with Merchandising and Design on global strategies and emerging opportunities to pro-actively address product, calendar, sampling and sourcing/production needs
  • Facilitate cost engineering to meet cost goals, including maximizing construction opportunities while minimizing liabilities
  • Collaborate with Raw Materials team to identify material sourcing opportunities based on specific brands needs and create innovative materials that are in line with margin goals and industry trends
  • Partner with Technical Fit team to ensure optimal comfort and fit for our customers
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal teams and oversea partners to pro-actively manage timelines and processes
  • Facilitate sampling and prototyping of products, identifying issues in design, construction or manufacturing, adjusting to deliver proven and tested product and drive business growth
  • Build production specs based on sales

Requirements

  • 5+yrs. experience
  • B.A. in Fashion Management/Business preferred
  • strong organizational skills
