Perform technical tasks related to product functional assessment, including concept feasibility, design verification, sustaining engineering, and new product development of medical devices. Execution of test protocols using mechanical laboratory equipment and manual manipulation. Assist in planning, execution, and data analysis of experiments and prepare technical reports when necessary.

Assist in planning, execution, and data analysis of experiments and prepare technical reports when necessary
Provide technical support on general laboratory instrumentation and equipment
Participate in investigations related to equipment, test methods, or quality issues
Support continuous improvement of laboratory processes
Assist in onboarding and training of associates
Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices
Ensure compliance with applicable BD policies, procedures, standards, and regulations
Requirements:
0–2 years of engineering or technical experience, preferably in medical devices
Experience using small hand tools
Working knowledge of the operation of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g., Instron) is desirable
Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and perform computer analysis
A BS degree in engineering is desirable (Mechanical Engineering preferred)
Some form of technical training (e.g., college in a science or engineering background, technical school, or lab environment experience)
Onsite presence required 5 days a week
Nice to have:
Working knowledge of the operation of mechanical measurement equipment (e.g., Instron) is desirable
