We are working on a role with a top fashion company based in NYC. Role is hybrid in their NYC midtown location. Looking for a Product Development Coordinator to work on a boys apparel brand. Childrenswear and apparel graphics experience is helpful for this role. Apparel a must but may be open to mens or womens as well. The Product Development Coordinator supports the full seasonal development cycle—from initial concept through production—by partnering closely with Design, Production, Sales, Technical Design, and Overseas Offices. This role ensures all product submissions meet brand standards, are executed accurately, and stay on calendar. The Coordinator helps maintain design intent, manages approvals for graphics and artwork and supports process flow to deliver high-quality product for the Kids Division. Temp to perm opportunity. Salary at full time 70-75K based on experience.
Job Responsibility
Attend key milestone meetings with the Design team to understand the brand vision prior to initiating the tech pack process
Partner directly with overseas vendors to review and approve product development submissions including lab dips, strike-offs, artwork placements, sales samples, and pre-production samples
Ensure all submissions meet quality, aesthetic, and brand standards
Evaluate initial tech packs in PLM, ensuring all details are correct and are executable by factories
Schedule proto review meetings with the Design team to review all garment constructions, design details, and art placement ensuring the actual garment reflects the designer's vision
Collaborate with Design and Technical Design to ensure construction, details, trims, and art placement reflect design intent
Work with Design, Production, and Sales to ensure development remains on schedule
Uphold design integrity throughout all rounds of development until final approval
Catalog and maintain fabric, print and trim standard libraries for future reference
Maintain seasonal approval charts and ensure PLM accuracy for assigned categories
Requirements
Comprehensive understanding of the entire Product Development cycle and milestones
Working knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and seam classifications
Technical knowledge of fabric qualities, finishes, printing, color science, and embellishment techniques
Understanding of Child Safety Guidelines for Kids apparel
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines

Proficient in FlexPLM and Microsoft Office
Adobe Illustrator knowledge a plus
