The Latin America Product Development team is responsible for leading new product development initiatives and managing the product lifecycle events across the different fund ranges (active, passive and alternatives) of locally domiciled products across the region (Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil). We are seeking a candidate to join the Mexico Product Development team, who will be responsible for the execution and implementation of the product governance, management, and strategy of Mexican Mutual Funds. This role involves partnering extensively with local, regional, and global colleagues across functions—Product Strategy, Investments, Sales Distribution, Operations, Legal & Compliance, Technology, and Risk—as well as external partners in the Mutual Funds ecosystem. The goal is to drive key product initiatives by building consensus, applying best practices, and aligning cross-functional strategies with client needs and distribution partners. Success in this role also requires navigating a global organization resourcefully, with strong analytical, communication, and people skills to foster strong stakeholder relationships and connectivity across BlackRock.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the local Mutual Funds product lifecycle (creation, maintenance, and rationalization). Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with BlackRock’s governance, processes, and local regulatory requirements
Understand BlackRock’s products and investment capabilities to continuously challenge, propose and identify opportunities to improve the existing Mutual Funds platform
Mexican Mutual Funds product innovation. Research local and global market trends and new product ideas for the Mexican market to assess impacts and feasibility of implementation
Support project management related to the maintenance and implementation of new processes driven by internal initiatives, regulatory changes, or new investment opportunities (e.g., exposure to new securities, markets, or strategies)
Develop and maintain relationships with BlackRock stakeholders and external providers, who engage in the implementation, execution, and maintenance of the lifecycle process of local funds
Comply with regulatory obligations owned by the Product Development team, such as creation, maintenance and submission of funds’ prospectuses and factsheets
Requirements:
3-5 years of work experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Comfortable working with technology and quick to learn new digital tools, platforms, and systems
Strong project management skills, analytical skills, organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to build relationships, to manage and influence stakeholders and people at all levels and functions
An upbeat teammate, driven initiative-taker, with a positive attitude and excellent work ethic
