Job Description

We are hiring a product development assistant for a top fashion company in NYC! This role will support the Men's Denim team on all aspects of the product lifecycle from concept to final development with direction from the category's leader.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide administrative support for Denim design team from concept to design to final development
  • Master knowledge of all styles, raw materials and trims related to the Premium Line
  • Assist with the management of cross-functional communication between merchants, production, technical design and external vendors
  • Manage all shipping, tracking, receiving, organizing samples
  • Maintain an organized sample and trim archive
  • Pull samples and prepare racks for seasonal milestone meetings
  • Create and update all tech packs in PLM and update them as needed
  • Work with lead designer to facilitate comments and updates to PLM tech packs
  • Review lab dips, samples and submits with category leader and enter/send comments to vendors
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion or Art (or equivalent experience and education)
  • Web PLM experience is preferred
  • Proficient in Adobe (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Excel
  • Comfortable working in an hybrid environment - mainly working in office several days a week with occasional remote work from home
  • Keen eye for color, trend, detail and construction
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to multi task and prioritize based on business objectives
  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Assist in the development of new product cooking instructions, then cooking validations

  • Entering many areas of the factory daily, collecting meat/ingredients, working with production on trials, organization on development products in cold storage
