We are looking for a Product Designer to support the creation of emerging digital experiences within the financial services industry. This Long-term Contract position is based in Appleton, Wisconsin, and is centered on turning loosely defined ideas into clear, testable concepts through iterative design. The role is best suited for someone who enjoys shaping product direction early, simplifying complex user journeys, and collaborating closely with product and engineering partners to move ideas forward quickly.
Job Responsibility:
Translate ambiguous business or user needs into clear product concepts using sketches, wireframes, and medium- to high-fidelity prototypes
Create end-to-end experience flows that make complex, multi-step tasks easier to understand and complete
Use layout, hierarchy, and interface structure to present detailed information in a way that feels intuitive and manageable
Apply established design system patterns appropriately while introducing new solutions when product needs call for them
Produce rapid iterations in Figma to explore options, validate ideas, and help teams reach decisions efficiently
Partner with product managers and engineers to ensure concepts are practical across web and mobile environments
Communicate design rationale in straightforward terms so stakeholders can understand tradeoffs and align on direction
Focus on discovery-stage design work that helps define product experiences before final production execution begins
Requirements:
5+ years of product design experience, ideally in complex and highly regulated industries such as financial services or healthcare
Advanced proficiency with Figma, including fast-paced prototyping and iterative concept development
Demonstrated ability to simplify dense or complicated information into clear, user-friendly experiences
Strong understanding of user flow creation, information hierarchy, and interaction patterns for digital products
Ability to work independently and produce strong design concepts with limited direction in evolving environments
Familiarity with designing for both web and mobile platforms while accounting for platform-specific constraints
Effective communication skills with the ability to explain design choices clearly to cross-functional teams
