Our multidisciplinary design teams are creating new ways to help people connect, find communities and grow businesses. Together, we are committed to building innovative technologies — Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, Workplace, Meta Quest and more — to serve billions of people around the globe. As a product designer at Meta, you’ll have the opportunity to play a central role in the way we build technologies — ensuring they are valuable, easy to use and of the highest level of craft and execution. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. We’ll expect you to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design and visual design skills, while contributing to high-level strategic decisions with product and executive partners. Join a broad group of thinkers and do some of the most meaningful work of your career. This posting represents different full-time roles across the Meta company.

Requirements
Requirements
  • A track record as a senior product or platform designer in environments where users are domain experts — clinical, scientific, or technical SaaS where workflows are genuinely complex and simplification is not the answer
  • A portfolio of shipped work showing product judgment: hard tradeoffs, designs evolved through validation, and clear evidence that your involvement changed what got built
  • Experience designing for multiple, distinct user groups within a single platform — and keeping the product coherent across them
  • Experience designing information-dense, data-heavy interfaces: tables, filters, multi-step clinical or scientific workflows, multimodal data views
  • Experience in regulated environments (HealthTech, MedTech, scientific software) is a strong advantage
  • Strong design system thinking
  • Comfortable working close to code and close to product: you can author requirements and acceptance criteria, hold a meaningful conversation with engineers about implementation constraints, and build prototypes that go beyond static mockups
  • Rapid prototyping fluency — including with modern AI-assisted tooling — used in service of faster clinical validation, not as an end in itself
  • Familiar with the engineering vocabulary of data-intensive platforms: APIs, data models, performance, security, accessibility
  • Genuine curiosity about the domain — clinical genomics, imaging, and real-world data are technically rich and humanly consequential
Job Responsibility
Job Responsibility
  • Own cross-platform design problems
  • Lead the design of major DDM platform workflows across the full product surface
  • Define and evolve the cross-surface interaction patterns that give the platform coherence
  • Govern and evolve the DDM design system in collaboration with engineering
  • Work at expert-user depth - across diverse user groups
  • Conduct research with users across the platform’s range
  • Design for appropriate complexity — not for consumer simplicity
  • Balance clinical workflow fidelity with IVD regulatory constraints
  • Build interactive prototypes to compress the time between concept and clinical feedback
  • Run validation sessions with clinical users, oncologists, and pharma partners early and continuously
