We're seeking a Product Design Manager to join Awin in our mission to help customers grow their business online. This role is a critical leadership position, working closely with Head of UX. You’ll be responsible for recruitment, influencing change, driving process improvements, and managing a team of designers.
Job Responsibility:
Leading and managing a team of designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, innovation and continuous improvement
Providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities
Driving positive change within design processes, advocating for user-centric design practices and ensuring alignment with business goals
Working towards growing the overall design maturity of the organisation by implementing best practices, design systems, and methodologies that elevate the quality of design work
Collaborating with the Head of UX in developing and executing strategic initiatives to advance the UX vision and overall business objectives
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritise design initiatives based on business impact and customer value and ensuring efficient allocation of design resources
Identifying opportunities to optimise design processes, improve efficiency, and establish best-in-class design workflows
Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of design goals with broader business objectives
Requirements:
Proven track record in product design, with a deep understanding of UX and UI principles
Adept at leading and inspiring a team of designers
Experience in hiring, mentoring, and managing designers to foster a collaborative and high-performing design culture
Ability to influence and drive change within design processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise initiatives effectively, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design work
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, executives, and stakeholders
Excellent ability to communicate design vision effectively to gain buy-in
Proven ability to move work forward, meet deadlines, and deliver exceptional design solutions that contribute to the success of the business
