McGraw Hill is seeking a Product Data Analyst to deliver actionable insights that drive product strategy and improve user experience. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze product performance and provide data-informed recommendations. Play a critical role in shaping the future of our products by delivering actionable insights that help drive the product strategy and inform overall business performance. Analyze how users interact with the product to improve user experience, engagement, and feature performance.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the creation of analytics dashboards
Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Conduct A/B testing
Analyze customer behavior and operational metrics to support informed decision-making
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of product analytics and business intelligence dashboards
Partner with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver solutions
Work with innovation team members to design and analyze A/B tests
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights
Analyze campaign performance, customer behavior, and operational metrics
Produce detailed customer insights reports
Collaborate with lifecycle marketing to identify opportunities for user segmentation, retention strategies, and customer lifecycle optimization
Advocate for data-driven decision-making
Define and execute strategic market research projects
Develop deep understanding of industry trends and the competitive landscape
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in data analytics, especially within consumer-facing applications
Strong proficiency in SQL
Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau or Power BI
Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis
Excellent communication skills for translating data into actionable insights
Knowledge of data governance and analytics best practices
Experience designing, executing, and analyzing A/B tests & Monte Carlo simulations
Familiarity with customer behavior analytics platforms (e.g., Pendo)
Experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data transformation and analysis
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices
Strong communication and storytelling skills to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
Experience in an EdTech, startup, or consumer-facing environment
Familiarly with backend analytics engineering
