We are currently seeking Product Counsel/Product Innovation Counsel to work with some of the world’s largest companies across all industries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Counsel several of our sophisticated and diverse clients, including highly innovative global technology companies
  • Provide legal advice to teams from Research & Development, Marketing and Engineering, Product Management, Advertising Sales, Marketing & Communications from the initial stages of product development to launch
  • Support business teams by building consensus on projects from design to launch, including new features, products and services, and programs
  • Review global products, features, and platforms to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies focused on company goals
  • Remain up to date on relevant industry, data privacy, consumer protection, and advertising laws and regulations to ensure an ongoing ability to provide thoughtful and relevant advice

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience at a top law firm and/or in-house department as product, technology, commercial, privacy, or IP counsel
  • engineers with a law degree also encouraged to apply
  • Experience taking on complex projects
  • Active bar license for the state in which you physically reside in

Nice to have:

  • Experience with an in-house for a technology company
  • Experience in-house and partnered with the R&D team and engineers
  • Held the title Product Counsel and launched a product

  • Stay up-to-date on relevant U.S. and international laws, regulations and public policy matters, especially those related to financial regulation and blockchain related matters. Advise the team on how such matters and developments may influence business strategies and insure continued compliance
  • Develop trusted relationships with business partners and stay informed on key product developments
  • Draft terms of use, product policies, privacy notices, and other disclosures. Implement related processes to support compliance
  • Work collaboratively across multiple functions to help build scalable and effective processes for providing legal input to clients on strategic product initiatives
  • Provide practical legal and strategic business advice to the product teams and help develop a comprehensive, long-term approach to support new product developments and customer experiences
  • Ability to lead and manage numerous initiatives and meet tight deadlines when necessary to achieve business objectives
