As a Compliance Engineer, you’ll be the bridge between Gallagher Security and the complex world of global product regulation. You’ll create clarity around which standards apply, assess products against those requirements, and guide our teams to deliver compliant, world-class solutions, while also contributing to the ongoing development and capability of the compliance function as the business continues to grow. This is a role with real influence, working across engineering, product, sales, and external test laboratories to enable confident market access, support increasing product and market demands, and protect Gallagher’s reputation for quality.
Job Responsibility:
Act as Gallagher Security’s internal authority on regulatory compliance, maintaining deep knowledge of current and emerging standards across key markets
Maintain and evolve Gallagher’s compliance register, ensuring a forward-looking visibility of upcoming requirements and potential business impacts
Assess new and existing products against standards such as RCM, CE, FCC, UL
Proactively plan and coordinate compliance testing, evidence gathering, and certification activities, ensuring smooth execution
Manage relationships with accreditation and certification bodies
Provide technical guidance to engineering and solution delivery teams so compliance is designed in from the start
Help sales and regional teams navigate customer compliance questions, positioning Gallagher products confidently and accurately in competitive markets
Facilitate cross-department forums to manage compliance risks and priorities
Requirements:
A relevant tertiary qualification
Relevant training or certification in compliance (e.g., cybersecurity, product certification, ISO Standards)
2+ years of hands-on experience working in operational compliances such as ISO27001 and/or SOC2
Strong understanding of electrical safety and international product regulatory regimes
Ability to interpret standards and technical test requirements
Confidence working with external test labs and certification bodies
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to educate, influence, and mentor others
Nice to have:
Experience working with high-security, electronic devices, connected systems, or related technical environments would also be advantageous
Experience supporting engineers to diagnose issues identified through compliance testing
