Are you experienced in quality or product assurance within high-reliability engineering environments? A leading engineering and technology organisation is seeking a Product Assurance / Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Dublin-based team, supporting the development of advanced electronic systems used in highly demanding applications. Working as part of a specialist quality function, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet stringent customer, regulatory, and industry standards across the full lifecycle – from design through to delivery. This is a hands-on role working closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibility:
Defining and implementing PA/QA plans in line with customer and industry standards (e.g. ECSS, ISO)
Supporting design reviews, ensuring quality, reliability, and safety requirements are met
Leading and contributing to product assurance reviews at key project milestones
Overseeing manufacturing and assembly processes to ensure compliance with approved procedures and workmanship standards
Managing non-conformances, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions
Reviewing and approving technical documentation such as procedures, inspection plans, and test reports
Supporting supplier quality assurance activities, including audits and performance monitoring
Participating in internal and external audits
Performing hardware inspections and producing quality reports
Ensuring configuration control and full traceability of materials and components
Acting as a key point of contact for customers and external stakeholders on product assurance matters
Driving continuous improvement across quality and assurance processes
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
Experience in a Product Assurance, Quality, or Reliability role within a high-reliability engineering environment
Strong knowledge of relevant industry standards (e.g. ECSS, ISO 9001, AS9100)
Understanding of electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, and testing processes
Experience managing non-conformances and applying problem-solving methodologies
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test requirements
Strong attention to detail with a structured, analytical approach
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
Nice to have:
Background in space, aerospace, or other highly regulated industries
Experience working with space-grade or mission-critical electronic systems
