Job Responsibility:

  • Assure product quality conformance and facilitate the interface with customers and regulatory authorities
  • Organise, manage and control the Unit Quality Organisation
  • Maintain and control the Quality System, including the internal audit programme, ensuring compliance with Quality policies and objectives as well as customer and regulatory requirements
  • Review all quality cost and quality statistics within the unit and co-ordinate actions to reduce non-conformance costs
  • Review Quality System performance in association with operational needs and establish objectives in conjunction with Unit Departmental Heads
  • Provide specialist assistance to all functions on Quality associated issues
  • Develop, lead and motivate a team in line with company values, leadership behaviours and Achieving Excellence System
  • Influence and support the adoption of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools and techniques in the business

Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in a business or engineering discipline with at least 5 years’ quality experience in an Industrial/Engineering environment including relevant supervisory/leadership experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems

Nice to have:

  • Experience of direct engagement with customers and regulatory bodies
  • Practical knowledge of APQP
  • Relevant experience in an Aerospace Engineering environment
