The Product Architecture team offers architectural support to Product Management and Engineering. Guiding strong product development and integration in preparation for release and customer integration. Additionally, they offer site specific services such as technology stack evaluation and recommendations, customized customer integration mentorship, and deep dive assistance on persistent problems. The Product Architecture (PA) Lead role supervises the team. The position serves as a blocking issue point and senior connector between various external and internal collaborators. The PA Lead role will supervise the team, and additionally when needed act as a Product Architect.
Job Responsibility:
Supervise the PA team's workload and requirements by delegating team members to priorities and tasks
Lead the expansion of the PA team by collaborating with internal and external teams to pinpoint training and knowledge-sharing initiatives for team development
Refine processes and tooling – aim to assess and refine the processes and tools employed by the PA team to enhance efficiency and efficacy in their role
Product Architecture – when necessary, define or evolve a product architecture based on new requirements or overall system needs
Solution Architecture – when required by System Architecture, help define a particular decision or solution for a customer deployment to guide IGT development and customer technical leads
Architecture Strategy – help guide Brightstar engineering and product towards technologies and an architecture that meets business needs, being responsible for key build decisions when necessary
Requirements:
Hold a Bachelor’s in IT or related field, plus 5 years in business systems analysis or as a product owner managing complex enterprise products or features
A solid grasp of product management and agile software development techniques, applied principles and tools in contemporary product development and product composition
Ability to travel (up to 15% of time)
Ability to work across multiple time zones if required
Product Influence – assist in analyzing and consolidating the insights observed by PAs throughout the portfolio into valuable strategic contributions for product roadmaps
Encouraging modifications in approaches and outcomes
Guiding – for both your team and other individuals within CTO
Cloud Skills – experience of building Cloud products in Azure, AWS or GC with a hybrid or flexible deployment to on-premise
Ownership of Product Architecture – assist in analyzing and consolidating requirements to formulate a technical solution for product roadmaps and engineering development
Approach to Improving Delivery – Identify areas for engineering optimization to facilitate easier and more robust realization of the architecture
Apply architectural and system development expertise to assist in crucial decision-making for both product and solution creation
Hands-on approach – when needed, actively participate in establishing the foundations or assisting in resolving critical issues alongside engineering
Strong communication and facilitation skills – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes hectic setting with various, opinionated collaborators
