• Review and sub-edit stories in the CMS with a focus on quality
• Identify and correct errors while reworking copy with reporters and editors
• Write engaging, accurate SEO headlines, precedes, and captions to drive engagement
• Enhance digital articles with photos, videos, graphics, and multimedia assets
• Collaborate with production and home-page editors to ensure smooth workflows
• Monitor live blogs to ensure all real-time copy is error-free and high quality
• Publish content across various shifts, including evenings and weekends

• Prior experience in sub-editing and production for online publishing platforms
• Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar and syntax
• The ability to work with speed and precision under tight newsroom deadlines
• A solid understanding of legal best practices, including defamation and contempt
• Experience in print production, copy-fitting, or basic page layout is desirable but is not essential
• A collaborative mindset to build trust and connection with internal stakeholders
