Job Responsibility

Planning, directing, and managing the operations and performance of the Produce Department in order to achieve and maintain department goals
Training, coaching, and monitoring all team members on their job duties according to company policies and procedures
Ordering merchandise and controlling inventory to minimize out of stock and overstocks, and as a result maximize sales
Maintaining a presentable department image to our customers through a consistently clean and attractive department
Following and monitoring that health code regulations are followed
Smiling and greeting all customers while delivering extraordinary customer service and responds to customers’ requests in locating products, to meet the goals and objectives of the department

Job Responsibility

Responsible for the day to day direction, operations and management of all aspects and functions of the produce department, including customer service, sales, execution of programs, merchandising and employee leadership and development
Be thoroughly familiar with all products carried in the department
Plan and carry out merchandising plans
Ensure quality and freshness of all produce, suggest changes to inventory and pricing, and purchase supplies when needed
Follow approved Produce Department plans for effective space management and product allocation
Keep refrigerated cases and display shelves properly stocked and faced at all times
Ensure that all applicable produce items are properly trimmed and attractively presented
Ensure that wet racks are properly maintained and watered
Ensure that all perishable merchandise is rotated
Order merchandise and maintain inventory control
