PAK’nSAVE Rangiora is on the lookout for a Produce Assistant Manager (2IC) who is driven to excel in the day to day running of our Produce Department. Our Produce team thrives on delivering the freshest, highest quality fruit and vegetables to our local community, and we take pride in maintaining exceptional standards every single day. We are seeking someone with a proven track record in achieving outstanding results within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, experienced in effectively managing and motivating people, and passionate about supporting others to exceed expectations while fostering a strong and positive team culture.
Job Responsibility
Managing stock ordering, control, and rotation to maintain excellent freshness and minimal waste
Leading, coaching, and developing the team to build a strong, positive culture
Maintaining food safety compliance, including daily, weekly, and monthly records
Assisting the Produce Manager in achieving financial and operational targets, including waste management, labour control, and stock turnover
Ensuring 100% price and signage accuracy
Delivering excellent customer service and helping create a shopping experience that delights
Supporting innovation and always looking for ways to stay ahead of the competition
Requirements
Excellent communicator with strong organisational skills
Confident managing people and building a successful team culture
Experienced in retail, ideally within Fresh Foods or Produce
Curious, driven, and ready to learn the ropes of running a department
Motivated by KPIs and business performance
Customer-focused with a passion for quality and presentation
