Job Description:

The Product Management Engineering Lead Consultant role involves migrating legacy mainframe applications to modern platforms using technologies like COBOL and cloud solutions. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6 to 10 years of relevant experience. Strong skills in stakeholder communication and technical solution design are essential for success in this position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Solutions and executes migration of Mainframe applications into software equivalent systems (rehosting)
  • Uses knowledge of Mainframe technologies like COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, Assembler, DB2, IMS, files, etc to find the right solution to migrate off the Mainframe
  • Uses knowledge of Unikix or Microfocus software to implement the solution
  • Uses knowledge of Cloud technologies to rehost Mainframe systems to the Cloud
  • Uses knowledge of CLIST, REXX, PL/1, Easytrieve and Assembler to find right migration solution
  • Uses Linux scripting to implement migration glues
  • Implements DevOps solutions on the rehosted system
  • Good understanding of legacy and current technologies
  • ability to identify code patterns and understand coding strategies
  • ability to propose, design and implement technical solutions, leveraging NTTDS tools and methodology, modern technologies, and frameworks
  • ability to create, automate and execute test cases and scripts
  • Applied in-depth knowledge of one or more programming languages
  • Proven ability to apply programming languages to develop solutions to business needs
