This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain for obtaining goods and services for the company
  • Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and authority to commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
  • Develops requests for quotations and proposals, analyzes supplier responses, negotiates and awards contracts, and manages post award supplier activities
  • Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers
  • Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance
  • Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning
  • Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain or other relevant course of study preferred
  • Knowledge of MRP Systems, SAP preferred
  • Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • An MBA is a plus
  • Excellent Data analysis skills a plus
  • Knowledge/experience with/in manufacturing and manufacturing process a plus
