We are seeking a capable and detail-oriented Procurement Subcontracts Expert to support the delivery of this nationally significant infrastructure project. This role plays a key part in the end-to-end sourcing and procurement of goods and services, ensuring best-for-project outcomes through robust market engagement, tender management, and supplier coordination. You will work closely with the Procurement Manager and wider project teams to drive value, reduce risk, and support successful project delivery.
Job Responsibility
Source and procure goods and services for project requirements
Conduct market analysis and supplier engagement to identify best value solutions
Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and manage tender processes
Evaluate bids (technical and commercial) and develop recommendations
Support contract negotiation and purchase order finalisation
Maintain procurement schedules and ensure alignment with project timelines
Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Monitor procurement budgets and ensure approvals are in place
Expedite supplier deliveries to meet project deadlines
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Support the development of sourcing strategies alongside Procurement leadership
Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting
Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Procurement or related field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 8+ years’ experience in procurement within construction or infrastructure projects
Experience in end-to-end procurement processes and contract administration
Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g. SAP) and reporting tools
Strong knowledge of construction materials, services, and supplier markets
Solid negotiation, problem-solving, and organisational skills
High attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
