We are looking for a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our team in Princeton, NJ. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in optimizing sourcing strategies for various facility-related categories, ensuring cost-efficiency, quality, and timely delivery. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage procurement processes, and contribute to the success of our operations within the reinsurance and Lloyds markets.
Job Responsibility:
Act as the primary liaison between internal teams and procurement activities
Lead strategic procurement tasks, including conducting market analysis, managing demand forecasting, initiating formal tenders, evaluating proposals, negotiating contracts, and implementing agreements
Represent business and client needs effectively during contract negotiations and decision-making processes
Collaborate with the legal team and other relevant departments to prepare and finalize contracts
Maintain a centralized repository for contracts, addendums, and related documentation for assigned categories or projects
Ensure all procurement and supplier activities adhere to legal, regulatory, and corporate responsibility standards
Manage sourcing efforts for facility projects, facility maintenance, and office furniture while ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Utilize digital tools to streamline procurement processes and improve operational efficiency
Drive continuous improvement in sourcing strategies to achieve optimal outcomes for price, timing, and quality
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in procurement or related roles with a proven track record
Expertise in sourcing services and materials for facility-related projects and maintenance
Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex initiatives
Proficiency in contract terminology and experience drafting clauses in collaboration with legal teams
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
Skilled in balancing regulatory compliance and risk management requirements
Excellent negotiation abilities to secure favorable terms and agreements
Familiarity with digital tools and systems that support procurement functions
