Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis in Louisville, Kentucky. In this role, you will play a key part in managing procurement processes, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee procurement activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services
  • Utilize tools such as Coupa and ERP systems to manage procurement workflows and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand purchasing needs and ensure alignment with budgetary guidelines
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and resolving any issues that arise
  • Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements throughout the procurement process
  • Manage invoice verification and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the finance team
  • Support the implementation of procurement system improvements to enhance efficiency
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns
  • Stay updated on industry trends to recommend innovative procurement strategies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field, with a strong understanding of buying processes
  • Proficiency in procurement tools such as Coupa and ERP systems
  • Familiarity with budget management and invoice processes
  • Strong analytical skills to assess procurement data and identify areas for improvement
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of CRM systems is a plus
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
