Our client, a leading energy provider driving innovation and sustainability, is seeking a dynamic Procurement Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in optimizing its supply chain, building strong supplier partnerships and ensuring the effective procurement of materials and services.
Job Responsibility:
Develops the procurement plan in accordance with company's plant business requirements and forecasted demands across all sourcing areas (Direct, Indirect and Services)
Devises and refines the procurement strategy and is accountable for its proper implementation
Facilitates the timely and accurate execution of the procurement plan (from acquisition to receipt of goods and services) while maintaining the control of procurement budget and ensuring conformity with the Procurement Standards, as defined by respective policies and processes
Monitors Contract management, negotiates contract terms with vendors/ subcontractors, creates and tracks contracts between businesses and their suppliers or vendors and facilitates the resolution of claims and/ or complaints to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution
Maintains and strengthens the relationship with existing strategic vendors and continually examines the local and regional market for new vendors or subcontractors
Evaluate vendors and their respective proposals, ensuring their ability to meet company's plant needs and standards and to deliver the most efficient and cost-effective solutions in collaboration with the respective requesting business unit(s)
Ensures that purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives, identifies gaps or any other emerging needs and proposes improvements
Contributes to the development of procurement related performance and reporting tools (periodical & ad-hoc) and upon the extraction and analysis of the respective data, provides insights and recommendations to Management
Requirements:
3 - 5 years of experience within the procurement function
Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
Commercial and financial acumen
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
High accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced organization skills and detail-orientation
Flexibility to manage changing priorities and deal with conflicting demands
Team playing approach and ability to cooperate with various stakeholders from all hierarchical levels
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or any other related field
Knowledge of using supply chain management software and tools (i.e.,SAP)
Knowledge of Procurement related Processes
In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and ability to negotiating terms
Nice to have:
Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or any other related discipline
