Job Description:

As a Procurement Specialist within the Category Assembly & Accessories, you'll play a key role in securing the right suppliers for IKEA Components - today and tomorrow. You'll build strong relationships and develop both existing and new suppliers, always with the goal of achieving the Best Buy for IKEA by balancing price, quality, logistics, sustainability, and capacity in a smart and strategic way.

Job Responsibility:

Build strong relationships and develop both existing and new suppliers
Achieve the Best Buy for IKEA by balancing price, quality, logistics, sustainability, and capacity
Shape strong, long-term partnerships with suppliers in the Category Assembly & Accessories
Explore the market for smart sourcing opportunities
Organize RFQs and ensure compliance
Support supplier development and secure capacity
Focus on lowering total cost

Requirements:

Understand industry dynamics, market conditions, and sourcing strategies
Demonstrate strong financial knowledge and negotiation skills
Navigate confidently in a dynamic and flexible business environment
Lead business with a holistic view - always keeping the customer, supplier, and total IKEA cost in mind
Dare to challenge and be fair, with a professional and respectful approach
Engineering background or equivalent experience in purchasing or supply chain
Know how to identify and capture business opportunities that drive long-term value
Enjoy building strong relationships and working across functions to reach shared goals
