You as purchasing specialist will bringahigh level of professional procurement skills to establish effective supplier relationships, development of sourcing initiatives, and be involved in procurement process methodologies. The successful candidate will develop relationships and collaborate with collaborators both within and outside the organization. Responsibilities will include ensuring favorable terms and conditions for organization, mitigating risk at every opportunity, and ensure service level agreements are established that drive continuous improvement and cost management.
Job Responsibility
Identify savings and improve financial performance through cost reduction, continuous improvement initiatives, data analysis, and management and implementation of strategic sourcing initiatives
Improve opportunities through use of preferred vendor list, consortium and group purchasing, apply Vendors of Record and maintain vendor performance
Support for PO setup/ maintenance, Vendor setup/maintenance, Coupa user support and troubleshooting system issues
Procurement lead on projects provides direction and decision making for team members
Prepare and drive RFX's (Request for Proposal/ Quotation) with internal customers and supply base
Develop RFX requirements in conjunction with the Business Unit Lead, defining appropriate procurement methods, supporting operational goals/objectives and devising creative solutions to meet the procurement needs of various Departmental clients
Supervise procurement activities to identify initiatives, based on spend data, and types of procurement, which meet the criteria to implement a competitive process
Communicate and handle relationships involving suppliers and collaborators to help mitigate any issues in a proactive manner
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
SCMP/ CPP Certification related to Purchasing preferred
Proven track record with strategic sourcing activities and understanding of how to work with various confirmed procurement methodologies
Strong inclination towards continuous improvement along with the proven track record to perform effective data analysis
Must be able to drive contract initiatives with suppliers and internal customers
3-5 years' experience in a Purchasing role
English language B2
Knowledge of COUPA or any other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in making presentations to staff, vendors and internal and external legal counsel
Must possess strong contract management, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite — Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and negotiation skills
Works well independently as well as part of a team with multifaceted strengths of professionals
