Job Description

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to support day-to-day materials coordination and inbound logistics for a long-term contract opportunity in New Albany, Ohio. This position plays a key role in keeping shipments visible, deliveries on schedule, and cross-functional teams aligned across purchasing, scheduling, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, advanced Excel capability, and the ability to manage pricing updates, shipment activity, and purchasing-related information with accuracy.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee incoming delivery activity and maintain close visibility into shipment timing to help ensure materials arrive as expected
  • Partner with purchasing, scheduling, and warehouse teams to share updates, resolve timing issues, and support smooth material flow
  • Monitor inbound loads from origin through arrival and communicate status changes or delays to the appropriate stakeholders
  • Keep accurate records on drop trailer movement and availability to support operational planning
  • Review tariff-related pricing changes and document fluctuations that may affect purchasing decisions or cost tracking
  • Use purchasing and business systems to research order details, shipment data, and related procurement information as needed
  • Prepare and maintain Excel-based tracking files, reports, and status summaries for daily operational use
  • Provide procurement and materials planning support under the guidance of the Materials and Planning Manager

Requirements

  • Experience supporting procurement, purchasing, or materials coordination activities in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of purchase order processes, shipment tracking, and inbound logistics coordination
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and maintain operational data
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including buying, scheduling, and warehouse personnel
  • High level of organization and attention to detail when managing multiple deliveries and updates at once
  • Familiarity with SAP or comparable enterprise systems used for procurement or supply chain operations
  • Experience reviewing pricing data and identifying changes related to tariffs or landed cost considerations
