Job Description

We are looking for an organized and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our team at the KL Hub. In this role, you will bridge the gap between procurement strategy and day-to-day logistics operations. You will support our global business units by resolving operational escalations, managing system administration, and following up on critical deliverables with markets and suppliers. This role is ideal for an operational professional with a background in logistics who excels at communication, problem-solving, and keeping supply chain workflows moving efficiently.

Job Responsibility

  • Issue Resolution: Manage operational escalations and actively assist in finding quick, efficient logistics solutions for various Zones, Markets, and business units
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a reliable point of contact to ensure regional operational issues are smoothed out quickly
  • Commercial Support: Assist in securing short-term freight or transport pricing by negotiating spot rates under the guidance and supervision of Buyers or Procurement Managers
  • Data Integrity: Maintain and regularly update CARGOO and other related logistics management systems to ensure data accuracy across the organization
  • Task Tracking: Proactively follow up with regional markets and external suppliers to clear outstanding to-do lists, pending actions, and delayed milestones

Requirements

  • Prior experience in any logistics discipline (e.g., freight forwarding, warehousing, shipping, or supply chain coordination)
  • Practical experience in market transportation or related logistics operational roles is highly preferred
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively manage global stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain corporate databases and track multiple shifting deadlines
  • A collaborative mindset focused on resolving operational bottlenecks and supporting suppliers/markets under pressure
  • Some logistics experience – any logistics discipline
  • Any market transportation or related operational experience will be preferred
  • Good command of English and communication skills
  • Bachelor Degree
