Job Description:

The Procurement Specialist - CAPEX is a pivotal member of the Procurement Team within the Finance business function. The person will develop and assist with supply market strategies and will embed high performing commercial and supply arrangements for CAPEX categories including R&M.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to provide insights, reporting and governance, support purchase-to-pay solutions, and enable effective, transparent and efficient commercial relationships
  • Support the development of category strategies informed by spend analysis, stakeholder requirements and domestic and international market assessments, aligning supply strategies with broader business objectives
  • Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing activities, including RFQ processes, supplier evaluation, due diligence, contract structuring and commercial negotiations to achieve optimal whole-of-life value
  • Identify and deliver additional value across the supply chain through cost, innovation, process efficiency, logistic solutions, etc

Requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Engineering, Law or Finance
  • Proven experience in procurement, 3-5 years
  • Running successful tender processes & contract negotiation
  • Strong analytical skills and competency with analytical tools to interpret information and be able to provide insights/recommendations
  • Proven negotiation capability
  • Advanced level skills within MS Office suite
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
