The Opportunity: We’re excited to announce that we’re looking for a Procurement & Site Co-ordinator at our new energy from waste infrastructure, Port Clarence biomass facility in Teesside. This is a fantastic opportunity to support the Project Engineering teams purchasing requirements ensuring accurate recording of site requirements and follow up on deliveries. Providing administrative support as required to the site commissioning and O&M team. For the right person, this position offers genuine scope to grow and evolve as part of the ongoing journey at Port Clarence, contributing to a high‑performing team and a project of real significance.

Job Responsibility:

  • Preparing purchase orders on the Vital Energi purchasing system ensuring the purchasing process is followed
  • Verifying that purchases match approved lists/specifications
  • Maintaining accurate records of POs, deliveries, receipts, and payments
  • Checking PO’s with Actual deliveries / invoices / resolving any errors
  • Setting up new accounts and maintaining existing account details within the company accounting system
  • Assist in the pre-qualification of new suppliers
  • Liaising with Head Office purchasing and Finance team
  • Raising Debit or Credit notes as and when required
  • Assisting with meeting records and minutes
  • Provide general administrative support to Operations and Maintenance Senior Management team
  • Administer site staff training records & training course management, booking, travel arrangements etc
  • Preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual reports. Extracting data from several different sources such as the Weighbridge PC etc.
  • Support head office HR and Finance teams at a site level as required
  • Take lead role in the administration of site Document Management System
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Finance / Administration with a minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience
  • Experience of computer applications i.e. Word, Excel, Email, Power Point
  • Experience of working within an administrative office environment
  • Good understanding of purchasing requirements and invoicing controls
  • Applicants must have the unrestricted and ongoing right to work in the UK for the duration of employment, without the need for sponsorship
