You'll lead the end-to-end procurement of special gases, packaged gases, electronic gases, and chemicals, combining strategic category management with hands-on delivery. Expect to influence senior stakeholders, drive supplier performance, and lead critical commercial negotiations across EMEA.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and implement category strategies aligned to business goals, productivity targets, and risk mitigation
Drive value through cost optimisation, process improvement, and supplier innovation
Lead supplier relationship management, ensuring continuous improvement and resilience
Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen category competitiveness
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms to deliver measurable benefits
Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
Maintain robust governance, compliance, and contract management practices
Oversee the full procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract execution
Track supplier performance, managing KPIs and corrective actions as needed
Collaborate with supply chain, logistics, and operations teams to ensure business continuity
Engage with senior leaders across Finance, Operations, BU Heads, and Supply Chain to align priorities
Partner with EMEA/global procurement teams to leverage best practice and scale advantages
Requirements:
3-5 years' direct procurement experience
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
Proven ability across both tactical and strategic procurement activity
Skilled negotiator with strong commercial awareness
Comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced environment
Experience with international or multi-regional suppliers
Nice to have:
Experience within chemicals, special gases, or technical/engineering categories
Degree or equivalent professional experience
CIPS qualification (or currently studying)
Familiarity with contract drafting and management
Background in industrial, manufacturing, or engineering sectors
