Job Responsibility
Support the Procurement Lead in developing sourcing strategies and competitive procurement processes for utility-scale capital equipment and engineering and construction services
Lead RFQs/RFPs, evaluate technical and commercial proposals, and recommend supplier and contractor selections
Build and maintain supplier and contractor relationships throughout the sourcing, manufacturing, and project lifecycle
Partner with Engineering, Development, Project Management, Finance, Construction, and Estimating to support project execution
Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, schedules, warranties, service agreements, and contracts to achieve the best overall value
Prepare commercial evaluations, support supplier and contractor negotiations, and administer contracts through execution
Manage procurement documentation, contracts, budgets, milestone payments, and project schedules
Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers and contractors to support project needs
Coordinate construction and engineering on manufacturing schedules, Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), inspections, and delivery
Manage supplier and contractor lead times, to project schedules, identifying and addressing potential schedule risks
Monitor and manage supplier and contractor performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and schedule
Support the development and improvement of procurement processes, tools, templates, and documentation
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field, Engineering or Construction
5+ years of professional related supply chain, business operations, engineering, construction management, or industry manufacturing experience, including experience with external contract negotiation for services
Thorough knowledge of the competitive bid process for construction and engineering services and negotiation techniques
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software and familiarity with e-enabled supply chain systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP)
Excellent organizational skills
Statistical and analytical skills for evaluating supplier proposals and pricing
Problem-solving ability
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability to be self-motivated
Excellent time-management skills
Familiarity with short- and long-term planning techniques
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills
