Job Description:

This is an on-site mission based in Pau, supporting procurement operations within a Refining & Chemicals environment. The consultant will work closely with the procurement team lead to oversee daily purchasing activities across multiple subsidiaries. The scope includes managing a high-volume procurement environment (1,500+ lines/month), coordinating with 10 buyers, and handling a purchasing volume exceeding $3M per month. The role requires strong interaction with internal stakeholders and subsidiaries (11 entities), ensuring operational efficiency, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement of procurement processes and tools.

Job Responsibility:

  • Monitor and support daily procurement activities using SAP, Excel, and ServiceNow
  • Calculate, track, and analyze standardized procurement KPIs
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions
  • Lead weekly and monthly meetings with subsidiaries
  • Support preparation of executive-level (CODIR) meetings
  • Manage and maintain activity tracking and consolidation files
  • Ensure regular updates of procurement procedures, tools, and documentation
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify efficiency gains and cost-saving opportunities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across procurement methods and tools
  • Assist buyers in executing the end-to-end Procurement Process: Needs analysis, Sourcing strategy, Tender follow-up, Clarifications management, Purchase order issuance and acknowledgment tracking

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement / purchasing support roles
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and tools
  • Experience working in high-volume, multi-entity environments
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills (KPI tracking & performance analysis)
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and lead meetings
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Experience in industrial sectors (Refining, Chemicals, Energy) is a plus
