Procurement Project Coordinator, EU MDR. Under the supervision of the Peripheral Intervention Procurement Business Partner Director, provide procurement services to support EU MDR related manufacturing activities in domestic and overseas facilities.
Job Responsibility:
Provide procurement services to support EU MDR related manufacturing activities in domestic and overseas facilities
Coordinate programs with plant and functional groups and suppliers to meet business objectives
Assist in the development and or manage the implementation of specific projects
Work with teams to implement EU MDR technical file remediation, product or process improvements, product line rationalization, and capital equipment sourcing plans
Provide materials planning, capacity, continuous improvement and manufacturing analysis and recommendations to management
Serve as procurement lead in cross-functional team supporting the implementation of the MDR compliance program
Manage communication with supplier affected by the compliance program
Execute RFQ's, RFP's and RFI's with vendors of components affected by the compliance program
Negotiate favorable pricing for new components that will be purchased as a result of the compliance program
Collaborate with various departmental representatives including sales, marketing, new product development, finance, R&D to ensure alignment under the compliance program
Facilitate the communication with manufacturing plats affected by the compliance program to ensure alignment between sites
Manage the timing and supplier-deliverable(s) of new component validation/qualification activities
Co-manage the delivery of new component inventory to manufacturing sites, as well as any necessary inventory depletion activities as needed
As a Project Leader, Core Team Member, or Extended Team Member support operations related projects
The development of project plans, timelines, resources, capital and cost of good estimates
Create execution strategies, brainstorm solutions, and monitor tasks to remove obstacles in the way of progress
Lead/assist project teams to implement sku rationalization, revised product labeling, risk management, post market surveillance, and support sustaining activities to achieve EU MDR compliance
Works with multi-functional teams in development of processes or process improvements
Work with supply chain planning, marketing and plants to determine production requirements for EU MDR inventory planning
Work directly with plants to determine equipment capacities, cost, and planning for future operations
Be a resource to management for problem solving
Requirements:
BA degree or BS Engineering required
4+ years of related business experience and/or associated purchasing and supplier management training within a medical device manufacturing environment is highly desirable
CPM/CPSM Certification a plus
Proficient in the use of a personal computer with intermediate level of keyboarding skills
High level of maturity and interpersonal skills
Strong interpersonal skills required in the areas of verbal/written communications, telephone courtesy, professionalism, negotiating, and influencing
Strong listening and assessment skills
Strong questioning and problem-solving skills
Detail oriented and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Well organize and be able to keep track of task to completion
experience in procurement min 5 yrs (5-8 yrs more is better)
