Job Description

Procurement Officer – Council Based in South East London We are currently recruiting for a Procurement Officer to join a Council based in South East London. Role Details: Rate: £29 per hour umbrella Contract: 3 months ongoing Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm The Council is transforming its approach to procurement, with a strong focus on achieving best value for money while embedding social value into procurement activity. The procurement team plays a key role in advising departments and supporting effective procurement exercises that deliver strong outcomes for residents. The Procurement Officer will support procurement activity across key service areas, working closely with Category Leads, Category Managers and wider directorates. The role will involve providing procurement advice and guidance, supporting individual procurement workstreams, and ensuring procurement exercises are compliant, effective and focused on value for money and social value.
