Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Procurement Manager with a growth mindset, strong leadership, and a passion for continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll lead sourcing and supplier strategy to ensure our greenhouse and nursery operations have the right materials and supplies—on time and on budget. You’ll drive cost savings, supplier excellence, and process efficiency while leading a high-performing team and helping shape the future of procurement at DeVry Greenhouses.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and develop the Procurement team through coaching and performance management
Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Sales, Growing, Operations, and Logistics to align procurement with business goals
Develop and execute sourcing strategies, negotiating supplier agreements and contracts to optimize cost, quality, service, and risk
Build and manage supplier relationships through performance reviews, scorecards, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with operations and inventory management to forecast demand and maintain optimal stock levels
Manage annual procurement spend, track KPIs, and report on savings and supplier performance
Drive process improvements, streamline procurement systems, and introduce innovative and sustainable sourcing practices
Oversee procurement of hard goods, packaging, greenhouse supplies, finished plants, greenery, soil, fertilizers, etc.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Agriculture (SCMP /PMAC) or equivalent experience
5–10+ years of progressive procurement experience in agriculture, horticulture, manufacturing, or distribution
Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional initiatives
Expertise in supplier negotiations, contract management, and global sourcing
Strong financial and business acumen, with experience managing budgets and delivering measurable cost savings
Proficient and resourceful in procurement systems
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
