Job Responsibility:
Own supplier selection and management, giving you direct influence over pricing, availability and long-term commercial relationships
Negotiate pricing and terms so you can improve margins and secure stronger supplier agreements
Source parts quickly and efficiently to support urgent and high-value customer requirements
Control stock levels alongside warehouse and supply chain teams, helping balance cash flow with availability
Track market trends, pricing movements and currency impacts to support smarter buying decisions
Provide clear procurement insight and reporting to senior management, raising your profile within the business
Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and supplier performance
Build trusted internal relationships so procurement is seen as a commercial partner
Requirements:
Proven experience in a procurement or buying role within a distribution or product-led environment
Strong negotiation skills and confidence dealing with suppliers at all levels
A commercial mindset with the ability to balance cost, availability and service
The confidence to make decisions and take ownership
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, supply chain and senior stakeholders
