Job Description:

Commercial and progressive Procurement Manager with experience of building new teams and supplier bases to spearhead, modernise and invigorate the purchasing function of an established growing business. This is a brand new role following progressive organisational change in a well-established global fastener business currently embarking on rapid growth.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and oversee 4 existing purchasing staff across global business
Manage all direct and indirect procurement for the business
Oversee total UK spend of £150 million+
Review and implement new SLAs for business and suppliers and KPIs for staff
Assess and rationalize supplier portfolio (100-150 suppliers)
Implement and manage new procurement strategy
Explore new commodities and industries for UK business
Manage Purchase to Purchase relationship with major UK Blue chip clients

Requirements:

Qualified procurement specialist holding either CIPs / MCIPs or equivalent
Experience in automotive industry
Experience managing a team of Purchasers overseeing £150million+ budget
Strong background in international purchasing with focus on supplier management and contract negotiations
Strong willed and driven with hands-on approach
Experience in change and growth environments

Nice to have:

Experience in Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Retail, Automotive, Truck & Bus, Nuclear, Marine, Defense, Military industries
Experience with fasteners, adhesives, fixings
Experience building new teams and supplier bases
