Proclinical is seeking a Procurement Manager to join a dynamic and growing organization in the US. This position offers the opportunity to drive impactful initiatives within a manufacturing or life sciences environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead procurement strategies for a global team, focusing on supplier management, cost optimization, and process improvements across multiple sites and commodity groups.
Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of Buyers across multiple locations.
Develop and execute supplier management strategies aligned with business objectives.
Own purchasing strategy, budgeting processes, and documentation.
Optimize supplier base through strategic sourcing and supplier consolidation to drive cost savings and mitigate risks.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align procurement activities with business goals related to margin, quality, and timelines.
Lead price and contract negotiations with key suppliers.
Manage Quarterly Business Review (QBR) processes with strategic suppliers.
Represent the Supply Chain team in New Product Introduction (NPI) and Existing Product Development projects.
Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
Resolve demand and supply issues using data-driven approaches.
Track, analyze, and report departmental performance metrics.
Prepare and present operational and strategic reports to senior leadership.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events and Lean practices.
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and performance management for the team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
APICS certification (CPIM) preferred.
Strong background in procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in cost reduction, negotiation, and supplier management.
Experience leading teams, with at least two years of people management experience.
Familiarity with Lean and Continuous Improvement practices.
Expertise in modern sourcing principles and data-driven decision-making.
Ability to analyze cost-effectiveness and make sound commercial recommendations.
Preferred experience with NetSuite-based planning systems.
Knowledge of the Life Science Services industry is highly desirable.
