Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Procurement professional to lead our sourcing operations in Johor. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain, managing key vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of raw materials and services essential to our oleochemical production and FMCG distribution.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute procurement strategies for chemicals, feedstocks, and packaging materials to ensure business continuity and margin improvement
Identify, evaluate, and manage local and international suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, sustainability, and ESG standards
Lead high-level negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, driving Value Improvement Programs (VIP) and cost-saving initiatives
Monitor market trends and price fluctuations in the oleochemical and chemical sectors to mitigate risks and inform purchasing decisions
Oversee the end-to-end P2P (Procure-to-Pay) process, ensuring accurate documentation in the ERP system and adherence to internal audits
For Senior Manager: Mentor and lead the procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous professional development
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field
Minimum 8–12 years of experience in procurement, within the FMCG or Oleochemical industry
Proven track record in contract negotiation and strategic category management
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders across different regions
