As part of ongoing business growth, several companies are looking to appoint experienced Procurement Managers to lead strategic sourcing and procurement operations within their manufacturing plants.
Job Responsibility
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and production requirements
Manage sourcing of direct materials, indirect materials, and operational services for manufacturing operations
Lead supplier identification, qualification, negotiation, and contract management
Drive cost-saving initiatives, supplier consolidation, and value engineering programs
Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to ensure continuity
Collaborate closely with production, planning, engineering, quality, and finance teams
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements
Lead, coach, and develop procurement team members to achieve business objectives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
Minimum 8 years of procurement experience within manufacturing environments
Prior experience in one or more sectors such as electronics, metal/steel, or chemical manufacturing
Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
Proven leadership experience managing procurement teams
Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
