This role is responsible for all procurement, purchasing, and sourcing of subcontractors and suppliers. The position involves purchasing a wide range of items, hiring subcontractors, and renting properties.
Job Responsibility:
Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives
Receiving requests from department heads, assessing and comparing proposals, verifying and confirming prices, and ensuring that subcontractors sign our Code of Ethics
Overseeing the tendering process for our Project Management Projects
Managing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contracts and resolution of issues
Conducting and analyzing market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers
Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements
Overseeing the procurement process from the initiation of a purchase request to the final receipt and approval of goods
Coordinating with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications
Managing the procurement budget and preparing cost analyses and reports
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the industry's market trends and developments
Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
Relevant experience in a procurement or purchasing environment, typically 10+ years, with progressive responsibility
Professional certifications such as the Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills
Proficient in using procurement software and tools
Deep understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
Capability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving operational efficiency
