Job Description

This role is responsible for all procurement, purchasing, and sourcing of subcontractors and suppliers. The position involves purchasing a wide range of items, hiring subcontractors, and renting properties.

Job Responsibility

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives
  • Receiving requests from department heads, assessing and comparing proposals, verifying and confirming prices, and ensuring that subcontractors sign our Code of Ethics
  • Overseeing the tendering process for our Project Management Projects
  • Managing supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contracts and resolution of issues
  • Conducting and analyzing market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements
  • Overseeing the procurement process from the initiation of a purchase request to the final receipt and approval of goods
  • Coordinating with internal departments to forecast needs and specifications
  • Managing the procurement budget and preparing cost analyses and reports
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the industry's market trends and developments
  • Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in a procurement or purchasing environment, typically 10+ years, with progressive responsibility
  • Professional certifications such as the Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM)
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and management skills
  • Proficient in using procurement software and tools
  • Deep understanding of supply chain and inventory management systems
  • Capability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic environments
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to achieving operational efficiency
