Airswift is seeking for PROCEDURES EXDITOR to work in Qatar with a major Oil & Gas Company.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide comprehensive Procurement Management services for EPIC projects, ensuring successful execution on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed requirements, specifications, and standards
  • Oversee project procurement activities, monitor and control changes, and prepare procurement status reports during EPIC execution in coordination with Project Services leadership
  • Plan and develop procurement strategies for Long Lead Items (LLIs), define requirements for contractor procurement scope, and ensure alignment with corporate and project procedures and specifications
  • Monitor and control variations during engineering, tendering, bidding, and execution of purchase orders
  • Follow up on engineering requisition status and changes impacting procurement and delivery activities
  • Coordinate with contractor buyers, expeditors, and inspectors during the procurement phase
  • Research international markets for qualified vendors, develop evaluation and selection criteria, and participate in vendor audits to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Update the Preferred Vendor List (PVL) with lessons learned
  • Attend technical and commercial meetings as required
  • Evaluate vendor performance during execution and ensure timely resolution of procurement-related issues
  • Participate in the development and improvement of procurement policies, strategies, and control procedures
  • Ensure effective spare parts management by the EPIC Contractor, working collaboratively with procurement, operations, end users, and warehouse teams
  • Manage SPIR and SAP processes to ensure timely identification and delivery of spare parts in line with project schedules
  • Support project closeout activities, identify opportunities for cost and time savings, reduce complexity, and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • B.Sc. in Engineering from an internationally recognized University
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant procurement experience in major offshore Oil & Gas projects
  • Experience with offshore-related EPIC project execution, preferably within the Gulf region
  • Proficient in all aspects of procurement, i.e. bid/award, buying, expediting, and inspection
  • Experience in developing procurement strategies and procurement plans for contractor procurement scope of work (SOW) as per corporate procedures, project specifications, international codes and standards, and best industry practices
  • Possesses effective communication and presentation skills
  • Position may require vendor shop and supplier site visits for issue resolution, inspections, and audits
