Join an industry leader driving innovation in Solar and Semiconductor manufacturing. As we expand our footprint in Shah Alam, we are looking for a precision-minded Procurement Executive to manage our Machining supply chain. This is a key role within a lean, high-impact team of three, perfect for someone ready to thrive in a fast-growing, technical manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Supplier Development: Identify, source, and onboard qualified machining suppliers
  • Resource Management: Manage supplier resources, including capacity planning and long-term relationship management
  • Performance Monitoring: Drive supplier performance by monitoring and improving quality, delivery timelines, and overall service levels
  • Cost Optimization: Lead the RFQ process for machined parts, conduct detailed cost analysis, and execute price negotiations
  • Risk Mitigation: Analyze procurement cost structures and trends to identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Strategic Support: Support departmental objectives and handle additional tasks as assigned by the Procurement Manager

Requirements

  • Education/Experience: Open to fresh grads or those with up to 3 years of working experience
  • Language Proficiency: While Mandarin is an advantage, we are open to non-Mandarin speakers provided you have at least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Mechanical Drawings: The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints is strictly compulsory
  • Industry Background: Solar, Semiconductor, or General Manufacturing industries are highly preferred
  • Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, analytical mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Support SQ in risk identification and mitigation (PFMEA, Control Plans)
  • Support quality concern & open issues resolution (dimensional issues, cracks, surface finish, hardness, fatigue) at supplier
  • Support supplier product development GxDP / APQP milestones (e.g., sourcing, tooling kickoff, pilot builds). during execution, for fixture, tooling & process, fixture etc., measurement issues
  • Participate in PDT meetings & ensure alignment between SQ, GPS ME & Product Engineering requirements with supplier
  • Support process changes (tooling, line balancing, capacity expansion)
  • Support launch and post-SOP stability
  • Support continuous improvement in scrap, rework, and throughput
  • As machining engineer, preparation of Estimations, SOR (Statement of Requirements) / RFQ (Request for quotation) for M&E (Machinery & Equipment)
  • Follow ME standard processes (PoME), align requirements according to BOP (Bill Of Process) / BOE (Bill Of Equipment). Raise deviations and get approval based on requirement
