Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Procurement Director specializing in Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) to oversee global sourcing and supplier strategies for automotive parts and maintenance services. This role involves driving cost efficiency, enhancing supplier relationships, and implementing effective procurement practices across multiple rental locations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for automotive parts and vended maintenance to optimize cost efficiency and supplier performance
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure competitive terms, mitigate risks, and align with organizational goals
  • Oversee supplier compliance with procurement strategies, ensuring consistent delivery of savings and operational excellence
  • Collaborate with regional and local teams to create cost-effective and service-optimized supply chains, including inventory management processes
  • Implement standardized procurement practices on a global scale to enhance efficiency and performance
  • Share and apply best practices across markets to drive continuous improvement in procurement operations
  • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against service levels, quality standards, and contractual commitments
  • Identify and proactively address risks related to supply chain, labor, and cost fluctuations
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure savings, compliance, and supplier effectiveness
  • Work closely with finance, operations, and procurement teams to ensure strategies align with business objectives and deliver measurable results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a focus on automotive parts and vended maintenance
  • Demonstrated success in creating and implementing sourcing strategies across diverse supplier networks
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills, with a proven ability to build effective supplier relationships
  • Exceptional analytical abilities with a track record of delivering procurement outcomes aligned with business goals
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across various functions and levels
  • Expertise in corporate procurement processes, including purchase orders and buying procedures
  • Solid knowledge of procurement functions and contract negotiations within the auto parts sector
  • Must have previous auto parts experience
