We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator to support inventory purchasing and planning operations in LaVergne, Tennessee. This role uses demand insights, sales performance, and forecasting tools to help maintain the right product levels and improve purchasing decisions. The position works closely with merchandising, logistics, finance, and vendor partners to keep inventory aligned with business needs. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to communicate recommendations clearly.
Job Responsibility:
Develop purchasing and inventory plans that support sales goals and maintain appropriate stock levels
Manage procurement data and system inputs to improve ordering accuracy and provide reliable decision support
Evaluate forecast performance, investigate gaps between projected and actual demand, and adjust planning assumptions accordingly
Review product movement, sales conversion patterns, and assortment changes to identify inventory risks and opportunities
Create and process purchase orders while maintaining effective communication with suppliers on order status and needs
Prepare reporting on sell-through performance, proposed order reductions, and inventory recommendations for business review
Present inventory insights, performance metrics, and purchasing strategies to leadership in a clear and actionable manner
Partner with teams across merchandising, warehouse operations, logistics, accounts payable, and sales to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues
Recommend process enhancements and data-driven solutions that strengthen inventory control and support business performance
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
At least 2 years of experience in procurement, inventory planning, supply chain, or a related area
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with experience using data to guide purchasing decisions
Hands-on experience with inventory forecasting, planning systems, and retail inventory analysis
Proficiency in NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and charts
Solid understanding of inventory controls, demand planning concepts, and quantitative analysis
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to share insights with leadership and cross-functional teams
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
