Job Responsibility
Manage procurement activities for supplies, equipment, and professional services
Prepare and administer solicitations including RFPs, RFQs, and IFBs
Conduct vendor, market, cost, and price research to support purchasing decisions
Evaluate proposals and participate in vendor selection and contract negotiations
Draft, execute, and administer contracts, amendments, and agreements
Monitor contract performance and ensure vendor compliance
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audit readiness
Coordinate vendor onboarding and verify required certifications and documentation
Provide procurement guidance and training to internal staff
Collaborate with departments to identify purchasing needs and improve procurement processes
Recommend innovative solutions that improve efficiency and strengthen procurement operations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
Minimum of two years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or contract management
Experience supporting solicitation and contract administration processes
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required
Occasional regional travel may be required
Ability to work onsite in San Antonio as scheduled
