Job Description

A global leader in industrial manufacturing is looking for an experienced Procurement Commodity Manager to drive category strategy, supplier excellence, and cost optimization across EMEA. This is a strategic role within a world-class organisation operating across 50+ countries with a reputation for innovation and operational excellence. You'll have full autonomy to develop supplier partnerships, drive cost reduction roadmaps, and implement supply base consolidation strategies.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for engineered materials and components across EMEA
  • Partner with global procurement category managers and regional teams to develop and implement category strategies that optimize TCO, including BVC sourcing
  • Build and manage long-term supplier relationships, driving supplier development, supply base consolidation, and cost reduction roadmaps
  • Track market trends, cost drivers, and supply chain risks
  • Be the Leader of supplier innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement across the regional supply base
  • Ensure alignment across the value chain between suppliers and end customers on quality and delivery requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required: additional master's degree preferred
  • 5+ years in supply chain, strategic sourcing, or category management within the construction/manufacturing industry
  • Deep understanding of materials supply base, cost drivers, market dynamics, and cost reduction strategies
  • Proven experience with direct material sourcing (engineered components preferred) on a global scale and multi-tier supplier relationship management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English and German

Nice to have

SAP, Oracle, or Infor experience is a plus
