Job Description

We are currently seeking candidates for a Procurement Category Lead role with a highly-successful global financial services firm located in Braintree, MA. The Procurement Category Lead will own sourcing activities and category strategy across key Professional Services spend areas including Consulting, HR, Marketing, and/or Legal. The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of hands-on strategic sourcing experience and a track record of delivering measurable savings in a fast-paced corporate environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the full sourcing lifecycle for Professional Services categories, from scoping through contract execution
  • Develop and maintain multi-year category strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead RFx processes to drive competitive pricing, service quality, and supplier performance
  • Negotiate contracts and key commercial terms in partnership with legal
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through stakeholder engagement and spend analysis
  • Establish preferred supplier programs and standardized pricing structures
  • Lead complex negotiations with major service providers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on large sourcing initiatives and ensure compliance with procurement policies

Requirements

  • 8+ years of strategic sourcing experience within Professional Services categories
  • Expertise in Consulting, HR, Marketing, or Legal procurement
  • Demonstrated success delivering P&L savings through supplier negotiations and competitive sourcing
  • Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
  • Experience building and executing category strategies for complex spend areas
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
